“ We were in the city and decided to look for a place to have dinner. We k ew that the old restaurant has since been destroyed and have opened up at a new location so we checked on google and found this branch closest to us. We were seated promptly on arrival and we placed the order for some samoosas to start off with. Our waiter Keith was friendly, helpful and polite. The samoosas are fried fresh so it may take a little while to arrive but it was piping hot and so tasty. We placed our order for the mains and Keith brought us a taster platter of the various curries to try out. They were all delicious and we we waiting in anticipation for meals to arrive. Upon arrival of the mains, we were blown away by the portion sizes and the aromas very so tantalizing. The food was piping hot and the dishes were fresh and yummy. We could not even finish our portals so we asked for a takeaway. We also ordered desserts such as kheer and soji as a takeaway and it was also so decadent. Overall experience was amazing and the food and service was on point!! I will definitely return on my next trip to the area!! ”
“ Orientals in Durban North is the definition of perfection in terms of bunny chows. I have ordered a mutton bunny chow on most occasions and their level of consistency is truly unmatched. The curry is full of flavour, decent pieces of good quality meat, and the potatoes melt in your mouth. Their Kier is also to die for. The only thing where I feel they can improve is the space of their sit down premises. ”
“ Ordered the last portions of biryani for some last minute catering. Even brought my own pot. As soon as I walked through the door, Kieth was ready to assist. Even brought me a little chicken curry and rice to taste while I waited. Pot was cling wrapped after they had finished dish, and the food went down well with plenty to spare. Really good food and service. ”
“ always a solid and proper bunny chow, we enjoyed the meal. the kheer is also lovely ”
“ The bunny chow they serve is delicious. They even offer you a small taste test of the curry in case you're undecided. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Based on what I've heard, they are relatively consistent at making good food. They have a sink available if you want to wash your hands afterwards. Seating is ample but I guess during peak hours it might be a bit busy. ”
